the mind can destroy you, it is in your mind that you can truly trap yourself. Limit your ambitions, convince yourself irrationalities, and eat your body alive. Worse than any man eating disease, the mind once turned on yourself is the a parasite that ruins your body with thoughts of the worst. But in a split second this parasite can cure itself with simple attitude changes, such as positivivity and faith that everything is OK
The key to God, the key to faith…is that God isn’t watching over you. God is not with you or around you. God doesn’t let evil happen, but evil is just a way of human life just as good. We learn to coexist with other religions, people, and creatures..but we must learn that evil and good must also coexist. Balance. Ying and Yang
Everything is taken away in a sense of beauty and awe. As we age we accomplish our goals and see around us a world that we did not expect. We expect a world that is a wonderland in which we saw as children. We only saw the peak of the beauty and not the struggle that got there or how it was lost. We see everything as it would be the greatest and most beautiful thing to be or become. Now as we are old, we see that these things lasted only seconds, and beauty was never there but will never be there. It is until we realize while looking for beauty is that we have lost the most beautiful thing this world has to offer and this is a child’s mind. As children we saw a world that was open and amazing. We looked at situations as other worldly miracles and a new place was looked at as a castle. But now we look at places and see terror, prisons, and hate. We grow to hate instead of love. We realize this world is a beautiful place, but it is as beautiful as you make it.
“I see in the fight club the strongest and smartest men who’ve ever lived. I see all this potential and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables, slaves with white collars, advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don’t need. We’re the middle children of the history man, no purpose or place, we have no Great war, no Great depression, our great war is a spiritual war, our great depression is our lives, we’ve been all raised by television to believe that one day we’d all be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars, but we won’t and we’re slowly learning that fact. and we’re very very pissed off.”
Every word you read of this useless fine print is another second off your life. Don’t you have other things to do? Is your life so empty that you honestly can’t think of a better way to spend these moments? Or are you so impressed with authority that you give respect and credence to all that claim it? Do you read everything you’re supposed to read? Do you think every thing you’re supposed to think? Buy what you’re told to want? Get out of your apartment. Meet a member of the opposite sex. Stop the excessive shopping and masturbation. Quit your job. Start a fight. Prove you’re alive. If you don’t claim your humanity you will become a statistic. You have been warned.”
In the end we look back on our defining moments, the best moments of our lives, the happiest years, and we reminisce our pure and complete happiness; but when we dig deep into those moments we look and see in the depths of our thoughts and memories that during those times we were miserable, thought it could never get better, and looked back into our past and thought of the better days. The cycle repeats and repeats. Always looking back to happiness and never fully having a grasp on it, only a thought or memory, never a state of mind or part of our soul, just a wandering memory that will never come to fruition in our heart or in our mind. We as humans live in the past, we live to think that if I did that right or didn’t do that, things would change. We always look for opportunity in the past, but the reality is we fear the challenge of today and tomorrow so we just look back into our past, the comfort of knowing that we overcame or the simplicity of life. But we must learn that this is life, and to truly live it to truly harness emotions, thought, and happiness. To harness the idea that one day we will look back on this day, this time, and think these were the glory days. If we realize that the way we live right now is something in the future we will someday want to relive..why not enjoy it, instead of try and break away from it.
